“What can Multilayer do for me? What is the difference between me simply buying an ADSL line from another ISP and putting a router on the end?

A.N. OTHER ISP

Multilayer fully test all routers on our test rig prior to despatch so as to cut out any rogue equipment

You need to configure the router yourself

Multilayer’s in-house Cisco engineers pre-configure the router for you (to your agreed secure build) so that at your end it is a simple “plug and play” operation.

Data encryption not provided

All data is triple encrypted (to 3DES standard) to ensure maximum security.

Only one basic level firewall provided on router

NO Automatic Secured access to view camera remotely. i.e. away from ARC Secured Dynamic Remote Access (SDRA) is provided as standard, with accounting to show auditable trail of remote access provided on request.

No Out of band support which means that if your router goes offline, it needs an engineer visit to diagnose and bring back online

Out of band support provided via attached PSTN modem which means that if your router goes offline we will carry out diagnostics remotely and often have it up and running again within minutes before the client realises there had been a problem!

No “auto outage reporting”

Auto outage reporting via SMS and email which enables Multilayer to provide fast response remotely.

No Resilience backup so if your ADSL line goes down you lose your live images.
